MicroPython on the micro:bit in 60 minutes

Workshop notes

These are the workshop notes for a 60-minute introduction to MicroPython on the BBC micro:bit

I first ran the workshop at the Raspberry Pi Towers Jam on 11 Feb 2017. Sue Gray will be running another session at the Raspberry Pi 5th birthday celebrations in March 2017.

You'll learn how to show happy faces, read buttons, float and sink a ship, and do even more with this amazing £11 computer.

Use the notes for self-study, or run the workshop for others. They are free to get and free to use.

You'll need a BBC micro:bit and a Raspberry Pi. Have fun and let me know how you get on!

You can download the current version as a pdf file. No email needed and it's free.

I'll be making changes and additions to the book.Want free updates? Get the book for £0

I've just started a Physical Computing newsletter with news, updates, tips and product reviews.

If you have questions, join the Facebook support group. It's private, so you will have to apply.
